Is BuiltDaily free?
It's free to download and free to use every day — the Today dashboard, logging workouts, 22 sports and water (synced to Apple Health), the exercise library, and all themes and customization. A one-time $8.99 unlock adds weekly, monthly, and yearly trends, progress for every exercise and sport, reusable workout templates, and your full history. Every new install also gets a 14-day trial with everything unlocked.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Nothing is charged — it's a free trial, not a subscription, so there's no card on file and no surprise bill. When the trial ends, the app simply continues on the free tier. Unlock the full app whenever you like with a single $8.99 purchase, and it's yours forever (Family Sharing included).
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. BuiltDaily works with iPhone alone. An Apple, Garmin, or a different watch that connects to Apple Health makes step, heart rate, and workout tracking richer, but it's not required.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes — logging works fully offline. iCloud sync (if you keep it on) catches up the next time you're connected. There's no BuiltDaily server in between.
Will my data sync between my iPhone and iPad?
Yes — your workouts, templates, and water history sync across iPhone and iPad via iCloud, using the Apple ID you're already signed into. No BuiltDaily account to create. Apple Health data syncs separately through iCloud Health, also managed by Apple.
What sports can I track?
Strength, run, walk, hike, bike, swim, rowing, climbing, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, yoga, pilates, HIIT, dance, tennis, pickleball, boxing, martial arts, soccer, basketball, stretching, and "Other" for anything else. Each one records the details that matter for it — distance and elevation, pool length, vertical and top speed, climbing grades — and saves to Apple Health.
Can I export my data?
Everything BuiltDaily writes to Apple Health — workouts, activities, and water — can be exported from the Health app at any time (Profile → Export All Health Data). Your workout templates can be saved to a backup file from the Workouts tab and restored on any device.
Does BuiltDaily replace the Apple Health app?
No — it sits on top of it. Think of BuiltDaily as a focused daily view and a workout/water logger. Apple Health is still the source of truth for the underlying data.
What devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later, optimized for iOS 26. One purchase covers both. BuiltDaily isn't available for Mac or Apple Vision Pro, since it's built around Apple Health.
I bought the unlock on my iPhone. Why is my iPad still locked?
The unlock follows your Apple Account, so both devices need to use the same one for purchases (Settings → your name → Media & Purchases). Then open Settings in BuiltDaily on the iPad and tap Restore Purchase.
How do I cancel?
There's nothing to cancel — the unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and the free trial never auto-charges. If the app isn't for you, just delete it.
