BuiltDaily is an indie app, and every email is read by a person. Include your device (iPhone or iPad), its iOS version, and the BuiltDaily version from the App Store, and we'll get back to you.
No Apple Health data on iPad?
BuiltDaily reads the Health data stored on the device it's running on. If the Health app on your iPad is empty too, the iPad hasn't received your Health data from iCloud yet. Apple handles that sync, and no app can start it. Check these on both your iPhone and iPad:
- Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud: See All → Health is on, on both devices. The iPhone has to upload for the iPad to receive.
- Both devices use the same Apple Account.
- Both have two-factor authentication and a device passcode turned on. Health sync is end-to-end encrypted and needs both.
- Your iCloud storage isn't full.
- Leave both devices locked, charging and on Wi-Fi for a few hours or overnight. The first sync of a long Apple Watch history can take that long; recent days arrive first.
- Still nothing? Restart both, then turn Health in iCloud off and on again on the iPad only (never on the iPhone, where your data lives).
Once the iPad's Health app shows your data, pull down to refresh in BuiltDaily. iPad has no step sensor, so steps always come from your iPhone or Apple Watch.
BuiltDaily doesn't show my Health data
If the Health app has your data but BuiltDaily doesn't, it probably doesn't have permission on this device (permission is per device). Open the Health app → your profile picture → Apps → BuiltDaily → Turn On All. BuiltDaily's Settings also has a Health access row that tells you when no data is coming through.
My workouts or templates aren't syncing
Open BuiltDaily → Settings → Backup. The iCloud sync row shows whether sync is working and, if not, why. The usual causes: iCloud is turned off for BuiltDaily (Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud: See All), you're signed into a different Apple Account on the other device, or iCloud storage is full. There's no BuiltDaily account; sync runs entirely through your own iCloud.
Back up or restore workout templates
In the Workouts tab, open your templates (See all), then use the menu at the top: Back Up Templates saves a file anywhere you like (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop); Restore from Backup brings them back on any device.
Restore your purchase (or unlock on iPad)
The one-time unlock belongs to your Apple Account. Make sure the device uses the same account for purchases (Settings → your name → Media & Purchases), then open BuiltDaily → Settings → Restore Purchase. Family Sharing is supported.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. There's no subscription to cancel, and the free trial never charges.
